Jeroen is an experienced international project manager for infrastructure & sustainable mobility. From his academic civil engineering background, he combines strong analytical skills with the eagerness for close collaboration and the focus on achieving the goals in terms of high quality content and broad support throughout the stakeholders. Capacity building within the client’s organisation is natural to him, as is dealing with cultural differences and sharing a good time while working together.
As a partner in the Dutch Cycling Embassy, Jeroen organizes ThinkBike Workshops in foreign countries to develop cycling as an every-day mode of transport within the local mobility strategy and spatial planning & design. Jeroen prepared, organized, chaired and participated in multiple day workshops in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Singapore, Tehran, Mashad and Isfahan (Iran). For the municipality of Tehran he played an important role in developing the ‘Bicycle masterplan Tehran’. Furthermore, he prepared the outlines for a plan of approach to assemble a masterplan cycling for the city of Mysore in India and organizes excursions to the city of Antwerp in Belgium to introduce people into the opportunities of bike sharing systems.
