Dutch Bicycle Infrastructure Training Course
DCE network participant DTV Capacity Building hosts five-day bicycle infrastructure training course in July.
No one cycles more than the Dutch. The Netherlands is the safest place to ride a bike. It is also the safest place to walk and drive. Learn why and how from Dutch experts and Dutch streets. This July 1st to 5th, Dutch Cycling Embassy network participant DTV Capacity Building is hosting a five-day bicycle infrastructure training course out of their head office in Breda.
Apply the renowned CROW Design Manual for Bicycle Traffic to your town and country. A visit to and training session by CROW (Netherlands Institute for Traffic Engineering Policy and Research) is part of the programme. This training will equip you with a solid set of technical and policy-making skills for developing cycling policy and planning bicycle infrastructure in your local situation. Participants that successfully conclude their case study and assessment will obtain their ‘bicycle infrastructure planning and design’ certificate.
The training is suitable for designers, policy makers, mobility professionals and others interested involved in bicycle infrastructure design, bicycle network design, bicycle policy development, urban planning, sustainable urban mobility planning (SUMP), placemaking, urban revitalization, safety for vulnerable road users, and those advocating the above.
